...And how interesting that it is, as I have just come from a meeting of 'Save Our Strays, HB', where Karen Chapeka and her wonderful organization set a course for the future treatment of the areas innocent creatures. Between 12 and 17 Million Dogs and Cats are killed in America each day, due to overpopulation. ......Vaite!! I zeee eet now!! In zeee creeestal ball...Zee vuture holds for us a NO KILL Animal Shelter!! -jr

Hey, isn't it something?? Soon, over 100 heads of state will descend on Johannasburg for the EARTH ENVIRONMENTAL SUMMIT, to discuss things like how the ENTIRE WORLD

 

  

has leveled off in the production of GREENHOUSE GASSES... uhhhhh...the entire world, except for the USA, that is.

Oh yeah, and....George Bush WON'T BE ATTENDING. I'm so ...uhhhh....PROUD. Just think.... we were only a PRETZEL AWAY. C'mon, football season!

...It has surfaced in a recent report on the worlds forests that although they are losing ground everywhere else, the forests in developing countries are holding steady...why? SOCIAL ACTIVISM. Hold the course, people, it's WORKING!

Cleveland National Forest/O'neil Regional Park, California-

Great environmental victories are now being won all over this area, with heroes like Gloria and John Sefton, Rich Gomez, and Ray Chandos (and the Saddleback Canyons Conservancy and Sierra Club and a bunch of volunteers) making it all happen for those who squeak, squiggle, squawk, and squirm!! ....................

.............A judge rejected the shoddy E.I.R. for Joplin Boys Ranch, and now it probably won't be built out there in the wild lands (where it doesn't belong). Also, the County had no right to clear the 4 acres around the holding pond without public notification and CEQA compliance.... This is how we win, gang, fighting tooth and claw, one victory at a time!... We want to connect O'Niell Regional Park to the Cleveland National Forest.

And how about the people working to restore HETCH-HETCHY!!?? What a gas!! .......................................................................................................................................................
Well, as you know, I'm in the race for one of 4 available Huntington Beach City Council seats opening up this November, and I guess my fellow candidates are getting ready to rumble, but it really changes nothing for ME...I'm protesting outside of the Orange County Sewage Plant M-F 6:30 am- 9:30 am, and yes, there have been SPECIAL GUESTS!!!

What? Of COURSE I'm WINNING!! What kind of question is THAT??!!
Prove it?? uhhhhhhhhhhh..OK.
Here's the new line of bull the Sewage Mongers are spewing....

They once told us it was all just FINE.
(Of course, this is while they were covering up the '20 meter' study!!)

Now, they say the SEWAGE 'PLUME' needs EMERGENCY DISINFECTION, and so they are dumping 25,000 gallons a day of CHLORINE into the mix!!

They used to say the bacteria was from the BIRDS!!!

Then, it was "From a lifeguard bathroom".

And now???

...An article in the Orange County Register this week says it's "The MOON".

...Now, I only wish you could all be there at the Huntington Beach Council Chambers on Monday night when I give my speech about that!!!

I'm going to say that they are getting CLOSE......

I'm going to say...

"Folks, it's not the MOON..................It's URANUS!"
