and me were out there with the signs this A.M., and the FOUNTAIN VALLEY
POLICE sent two undercovers out to make us "Take the banners down
off public property." (Dun-da-dun-dun!) Guess we're gettin' to
'em! Don't forget today is the joint meeting of the WATER district and
the SEWAGE district (as though there were a difference- one pollutes,
the other pumps it inot the ground!) at the Fountain Valley plant. Show
starts at 6 pm. Bring a vomit bag. Funny, but I've never seen any of them out there. Not ONCE.
NOT EVER. He's gonna CUT IT ALL DOWN. Brilliant. This gives me all kinds of ideas! RAZE WHOLE COMMUNITIES.............Stop HOUSE fires! RECALL AUTOS.......................Stop CAR CRASHES! Drain Lakes........................Stop FLOODS! etc, etc.....
Anyway, I am fighting for a pro-humane ANIMAL SHELTER for Huntington
Bch, and the idea occurred to me that since we give OC Animal Control
a MILLION BUX a YEAR (can you believe THAT???), we should offer a fraction
of that to SEAL BEACH, and use the pro-humane shelter they just built!
But Huntington Bch CITY ADMINISTRATOR Ray ('go tow joeys camper') Silver
told me we generate too many calls for that. Strange. Orange County
Animal Control DIRECTOR OF ANIMAL CARE SERVICES JULIE RYAN JOHNSON told
me in a lecture last week that HB generates VERY FEW calls. Could he be LYING to the future possible COUNCILMAN?? Hmmmmmmmmm........... ................................................................................................................................................... Well, that's it for now....But things is gettin' curiouser and curiouser. This morning, I drove by the City Hall building, and saw the new building at Yorktown and Main... As I drove by, I flashed back a few years to an evening I spent with my dogs at that very spot, when it was still a wetland... I remember well the SONG of that wetland. The chorus of the FROGS haunts me. Hmmmmmmmmmmm........... Lot's of work to do, and I think I know just where to start!
