SOLANA BEACH IS JUST SOUTH OF ENCINITAS!
-----------------------------------
Your Beach Needs you once again!

Please help us protect the beach by attending the Solana Beach City Council Meeting at the Solana Beach City Hall on Tuesday, November 12th at 6pm.

This is the second hearing on the draft Master Environmental Impact Report of Beach and Bluff Management Strategies for Solana Beach. The Solana Beach City Council and staff are being lobbied heavily by the bluff top homeowners. Even after the fantastic turnout by Surfrider members and supporters on August 27, 2002, staff still thinks that the general public doesn't care about saving our beach and protecting our bluffs from seawalls.

The Surfrider Foundation and CalBeach Advocates support and replenishment and a planned retreat policy which would allow current owners to enjoy their homes for a

reasonable period but require eventual removal of seawalls so that we can return to a natural environment.

Please come to show your support!
