Dear Ocean Oufall Group (OOG), dedicated to ending the 301(h) waiver held by the Orange County Sanitation District (OCSD):

Well, this is it. The Board of OCSD will be approving a letter to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Regiuonal Water quality Control Board (RWQCB) at its monthly Board meeting this coming Wednesday, November 20, 7 PM, preceded by the Steering Committee meeting at 5 PM.

I encourage all to attend this meeting to show public support for this letter, assuming the letter has not changed from its draft form circulated to the Board members last month. Attached is a copy of this letter, as a pdf file. I don't know if it has been changed. We will find out on Wednesday.

I am also attaching the agenda of the Board meeting. The Permit Letter is agenda item No. 17. It reads: "Authorize the General Manager to submit the Ocean Discharge Permit Appplication to the Environmental Protection Agency, Region IX, and the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Santa Ana Region, consistent with Resolution No. OCSD )2-14, "stablishing the policy for level of treatment of wstewater

into the ocean."

The Steering Committee agenda, at 5 PM, is not posted on the web yet. Check it at at ocsd.com, go to Board of Directors, go to Committee Agendas, November 20.

Both meetings are at the usual place, OCSD Administrative Offices, 10844 Ellis, corner Euclid and Ellis, Euclid exit off 405 Freeway, Fountain Valley.

If all goes well, we have something to cheer about.

Hope to see you there.
