Dear Ocean Outfall Group (OOG), dedicated to ending the 301(h) waiver held by the Orange County Sanitation District (OCSD):

Don't forget the OCSD Board meeting tonight, Wednesday, Nov 20. The Steering Committee meeting starts at 5 PM. The Agenda is not on the web. I suspect the Steering Committee will be discussing the Letter of Transmittal to the EPA and RWQCB.

See attached for the draft letter. I don't know if changes have been made. Any changes will probably be discussed in the Steering Committee.

The letter will then be discussed at the regular Board meeting at 7 PM, Agenda Item 17: This item reads:

"Authorize the General Manager to submit the Ocean Discharge Permit Application to the Environmental Protection Agency, Region IX, and the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Santa Ana Region, consistent with Resolution No. OCSD 02-14,

establishing the Policy for Level of Treatment of Wastewater Discharged into the Ocean."

The meeting will be held at the usual place, OCSD Administrative Offices, 10844 Ellis, corner Euclid and Ellis, Euclid exit off the 405 Freeway, Fountain Valley.

It is important to attend these meetings to make sure that OCSD doesn't waver on the waiver, and to show support for their decision on July 17 to end the waiver. Please voice support for this decision and express gratitude during the Public Comment period at the beginning of the meeting.

Thank you. Hope to see you there.
