Tel=916-445-2841 RE: Please re-appoint Coastal Commissioner Desser Hon. Governor Davis: Coastal Commissioner Desser has done an excellent job as Coastal Commissioner. It is very important to retain the Commissioners that share my concern for our Ocean, Coast and the health of what's left of our wetlands. Surfrider and other organizations concerned with California's Coast and the vitality of the Coastal Act, support Desser's work on the Commission. Please continue to support the Coastal Act, which has enjoyed the continuous support of the overwhelming majority of Californians over the 30 year since the passage of Prop. 20. Re-appointing, and supporting, Commissioner Desser will go a long way toward this goal. Desser has been a strong advocate for coastal protection and full access to public trust beaches. In a time of numerous threats to the publics right to clean and open beaches, it is imperative that the Coastal Commission administer the Coastal Act to its fullest extent. Desser has done that, and will continue to do that in her next term. Thank you for your continued dedication to full protection and access to our coasts and oceans for this and future generations.
