Dear OOG:

Forwarded is a request to help retire the campaign debt of Irvine City Councilmember and OCSD Director Beth Krom. As you may remember, Beth was instrumental in OOG's City-By-City campaign and engineered the two-for-one Resolution from Irvine and the Irvine Ranch Water District opposing the waiver. This vote was critical in ensuring the inland city support of getting rid of the waiver. Because Beth was re-elected and remains on the Board of Directors of OCSD, she will be helpful in making sure that the conversion to full secondary will occur without delay. I intend to contribute $200 to retire her debt and I encourage you to do the same, or as much as you can muster up in this holiday season. See below for details. Thanks.

In practically anything we do, local political support is incredibly important. Our recent victory in saving Barham Ranch is a case in point.

One of our friends is Beth Krom, who recently won re-election to the Irvine City Council. Due to the campaign against her by the Lincoln Club, she needs to erase a $20,000 campaign debt, and needs our assistance.

Beth respects the environment. She was a leading voice on the OC Sanitation District Board to move beyond the 301 H waiver and fully treat the wastewater being discharged into the ocean. She is an endorser of The Heart and Soul Coalition to save the critical natural resources on the Rancho Mission Viejo. She advocates for alternative transportation and parks. She is a respected voice of reason in a County that often lacks such.

A donation of any size would help. Instead of going to special interests like some, Beth goes to the grassroots for support.

The campaign ID# is 1238222. The maximum allowable contribution under Irvine City law is $340 per individual or business. So that Beth can comply with campaign reporting laws, please include your name, complete address, occupation, employer and phone number.

Contributions can be mailed to:

Thanks and feel free to distribute.
