Yesterday in JORDAN, a German Shepherd dog died in the line of duty, carrying love notes from a man to his forbidden love. The good news? They were married as a result, and 'Big Joe' was buried a hero.

The point I'm trying to make is that it is love that will get us through, if anything can, and sometimes, love needs make bold moves, and even to take risks.

....I have sat by and watched the TREES be attacked LONG ENOUGH.

'OLD GLORY' OAK, -so long protected by hero JOHN QUIGGLY's TREE SIT- ..is now being dug up, and it will die, make no mistake...The developer, JOHN LAING HOMES says the COUNTY is telling him to do it. This is a lie.

...One look around LA and ORANGE counties will show that DEVELOPERS tell the counties what to do, not vice-versa.

And now, a THOUSAND OAKS (and SYCAMORES) are in grave danger in TRABUCCO CANYON...................and I have seen enough!

Gov. Davis once promised on the campaign trail, that he would protect the old growth, and where is he now?

Two days ago, in the presence of two ranking GREENS, I attended the elections of the 67th Assembly District Democrats, in hopes of forming a powerful DEMOGREEN COALITION to save the TRABUCCO OAKS.

The ORANGE COUNTY BOARD of SUPERVISORS will vote on their fate later this month, and it is time to act. However, the Dems were afraid, and I can't blame them.

1.I have been a registered GREEN for 15 years.

2. I ran in two elections.

3. We need to build a coalition to save these trees.

So I took a risk. If I can't reach the Dems from the GREEN side, I will reach out to
the GREENS from the DEM side.

There. Last night, I was nominated to the Democratic County Central committee, and on the 27th, I am up for election to the STATE central committee. I may soon have an opportunity to speak in NEWPORT BCH. on ocean pollution issues along side of DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL FRONT RUNNER KERRY of Mass.

I intend to protect the COAST.

I intend to protect the TREES.

I respectfully request the cooperation of all who share these goals. Not just with me, but with each other. I will soon have the political ability to write and push formal resolutions, and, I think, make a difference...-Save the OAKS-... isn't that what really matters?
