Note: I have been on Capt. Moore's Catamaran, and viewed the scoops that pulled plastic out of the Ocean thousands of miles from our Coast. Baby Albatross, unable to regurgitate, often die of starvation, their gizzards full of bottle caps and big plastic pieces. Smaller creatures, Moore's research shows, take tiny balls of plastic into their body as construction materials -- 40%! Everyone, especially those who imagine the Ocean is infinitely capable of recovery, should see Moore's exhibit. Even the Albatross cannot get away from human detritus.
