One of the strategies to protect the Trabuco Oaks is to get statewide attention for the protection of "Heritage Trees". Joey Racano, who has been a delegate to the Dem state Convention, representing Orange County, has brought this issue up before the entire state. The Heritage Tree resolution was favorably considered by the Convention.

Now, Pacific Lumber goons, assisted by state and local police and other agencies, are arresting and pulling down those living with Heritage Trees just north of Arcata.

Joey and others are documenting the violations of civil rights and other alleged offenses, and calling for an investigation by Californai Attorney General Bill Lockyer, who stated he cares about the Coast and environment. Now is the time for him to show this concern in deeds, not words!
