Dear Ocean Outfall Group (OOG), dedicated to ending the
301(h) waiver held by the Orange County Sanitation District
(OCSD):
What
a great turnout tonight at OCSD, where hundreds, probably
300 people, came to the June 26 Board of Directors meeting.
During the Public Comment period, about 80 some people
were given 2 minutes each, and everyone had a different
story to tell, unanimous against the waiver. Simply amazing,
really historic. Thank you each and every one of you.
The
OCSD Board of Directors postponed their decision on the
level of treatment and the waiver to the July 17 meeting
at 6 PM. I will forward the email from Lisa Murphy. This
gives us another chance to go to the Board and demand
an end to the waiver. I suggest we all plan for an encore
on July 17. Let's get even more than 300 people.
Thanks
again for the show tonight. It was beautiful.
