Hi,
Please show up for Putiidhem tomorrow, Monday.

Good news for Crystal Cove: the land-grab by Laguna Beach has been POSTPONED, please cancel the Laguna Beach City Council item 2, below. The City of Laguna Beach is trying to take away some of the Park we paid for, and trying to destroy Public Access to the Beach, in order to satisfy their apparently defective low-income housing component! This outrage will be heard maybe some time in June, so hold yourself ready to jump on it. It may take lawsuits, but they shall not pass! /Doug

The Juaneno Band of Mission Indians, Acjachemen Nation, and their allies, have DEFEATED the first plan to desecrate the tribal graves at Putiidhem, with Judge Bauer's decision in April. JSERRA group, a unit of http://Buschfirm.com had tried an end-around trick to avoid environmental CEQA review -- and, even though illegal, it would have worked but for the legal efforts of the defenders of Putiidhem, and good lawyers like Steve Otto, who battled to prove the puerile theories of the desecrators invalid.

THE JSERRA ORGANIZATION has come up with a new scheme. Once again, they are trying to ram it through the Council.

NOW, HOWEVER, THE COUNCIL KNOWS THEY MUST FOLLOW THE LAW!

They cannot get away with negligent attempts to avoid public scrutiny and A VOTE OF THE PEOPLE! You may remember that JSERRA's paid signature gatherers led many to believe that they were signing AGAINST development -- then tried to use the initiative to avoid a referendum on Putiidhem.

"The San Juan Capistrano city council has scheduled a special meeting for May 19, 2003-6:00 p.m. to vote on the JSerra proposal. The city council must decide whether to approve a general plan change to allow the high school to go forward with its sports complex plan or put the issue to the voters. JSerra has yet to call the Tribal Office and hear our voices! Meet at the city hall parking lot at 5:00 p.m. with signs. LET THE VOTERS DECIDE!!!!!
"...Sincerely, Andrea Cole, Member at Large Damien Shilo, Chairman"
