The following is in response to your e-mail sent on 5/21 (listed below):

A 20% rate increase was approved in concept by the Board in April, with directions to Staff to draft an Ordinance and provide the required legal notice for consideration at later meetings. Procedurally, the Board must comply with the formal Ordinance adoption process, which in this case, requires two readings and a public hearing. The first reading to introduce the Ordinance is scheduled for May 28th; the public hearing is set for June 25th, with a second reading for adoption of the Ordinance immediately thereafter. However, the Board may elect to change the rates at any time prior to final adoption.

Subject: Reconsideration of Rate Increase
Hello, this is Jan Vandersloot. Is there a provision whereby the Board of Directors can reconsider its decision last Board meeting to approve the sewer rate fees? Can they vote to go back to the original proposal to increase the rates for just one year from $87.50 to $100.50? Thanks.

Jan
