Electric Vehicles for Everyone (http://EV1.org) announces the first of a series of informational picketing at General Motors dealers and offices to protest General Motors destruction of the EV1 program.

After the Air Resources Board cancelled the Zero Emission Vehicle mandate, General Motors began confiscating and scrapping EV1 clean cars.

Each EV1 driver has to face the awful moment to turn in the beautiful, fun EV1 clean car, knowing that it will be junked and scrapped out by GM. Tomorrow, Energy

 

Efficiency pioneer Bob Siebert will face this sad task of handing over his fair EV1 to GM, which has been billing EV1 drivers for "scratches" even though GM refuses to sell the "damaged" vehicle for the residual value -- or any other price!

Join us in collegial picketing of the Saturn Dealer, but the real decision maker is General Motors. Please bring signs that direct attention to General Motors, not the dealer.

At a time when the Los Angeles Basin is experiencing renewed Smog Alerts, we need more clean cars, not less!
