Today, I received this-

Joey:
I am going forward with the environmental plank without your input. I am severely disappointed in your failure to provide us with words for theplatform. The work goes in to the State tomorrow and tonight I teach, so there is no time for last minute corrections, additions, or drama.

You can complain all you want, because it is your right, but if you forgetthat when given a chance to perform instead of gripe, you copped out.

I will not forget.
Peace,

Well, I guess that means I don't get a chance to create meaningful change that Democrats like assemblymembers LOIS WOLK and CINDY MONTANEZ can ignore.

I made it clear a while ago, that the INACTION on the part of those two assembly members will simply not be tolerated by a truly progressive democratic party.

I and my team worked long and hard on getting the HERITAGE TREE resolution written and passed.

I argued it determinedly and successfully before the Resolutions committee, the Environmental caucus, and finally, before the entire State Delegation.

...just visit the State Democratic Party's Official environmental website at:

http://www.environmentalcaucus.org

click on 'RESOLUTIONS'.

The full weight of the Democratic party came together behind saving the HERITAGE TREES as the issue, in the form of SB754, came before the NATURAL RESOURCES COMMITTEE.

They were deluged with communications from the entire state, as well as by Environmental caucus chair LUKE BREIT, who made the most eloquent, respectful, and passionate case for environmental preservation I've ever heard.

But NONE of this could stop assemblymembers WOLK and MONTANEZ from STOPPING.

No ACTION was enough to stop their INACTION.

The party deserves an explanation. And we're waiting.

The Democratic party needs enforce the HERITAGE TREE resolution NOW, before moving ahead with creation of a 'new' environmental plank that may ring just as hollow.
