Please join us at the ANTI-301(h) WAIVER RALLY on WEDNESDAY, JULY 17TH

The Surfrider Foundation has organized a rally to protest the Orange County Sanitation District's policy of discharging partially treated waste into the waters off Huntington Beach, under the state issued 301(h) waiver. A similar protest in June drew over 300 activists who oppose the waiver.

At the OCSD Board's Wednesday night meeting they will vote to either stop or continue utilizing the 301(h) waiver. Twelve of 25 Board members have vowed to oppose the waiver, we just need one more vote for a majority. Your attendance could sway the vote.

 

  

The rally is scheduled to take place at the Orange County Sanitation District Offices, located at 10844 Ellis Ave. in Fountain Valley, and begins at 5:30 PM. The OCSD Board will hear public comments from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. Parking is available on-site.
